Apart from training the students in mechanical engineering, this department is also involved in full production work in order to meet the cost of maintaining the department. In this unit, we produce spare parts of various machines as per the samples or drawing. We produce or modify parts if needed be. We also produce simple machines of various kinds e.g. wood turning lather, sausage making kits, pipe bender, grooving machine and many more.

The very common operations done in this department includes: -
Milling operations- like gear cutting, sprocket cutting key cutting etc
Mould making by use of modernized computerized machine for plastic containers.
Turning operation (e.g. facing, taper turning, step turning)
Thread cutting (both metric and imperial threads)
Bushing e.g. starters, plug holes etc
Refacing e.g. of brakes disks, cylinder heads.
Reboring
Drilling any size of hole
Simple alluminium casting
Generals shaping operations
Surface and cylindrical grinding
Sharpening of many cutting tools e.g. drill bits gear cutting etc.
We are fully engaged in general engineering works. We repair faulted machines by doing fully maintenance and provision of new parts we have a record of perfection in our production.
